Wentworth is a shallow lake that freezes early in the season, but often becomes snow-covered early as well.
The best access point is Albee Beach off Route 28 near the rail trail. There’s plenty of parking and a wide sandy beach.
You can also get on the ice at Wentworth State Park alongside Route 109. This is a popular launch spot for iceboaters.
